	ACTIVITIES      Kshitij   The Horizon  2011 JIMS organized the Inter-College festival KSHITIJ  the horizon on February 18th,19th Febraury 2011, at the beautiful, newly constructed auditorium of Kalkaji. The festival had participation from all over Delhi colleges and NCR Colleges. The programme as usual began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Prof.Dr. Cdr.  Seth ,  Director - Kalkaji campus. This was followed by a very devotional  Saraswati vandana by the students of kalkaji. Dressed in brocade bordered sarees, the girls invoked the Goddess of learning with their extremely enchanting  Bharatnatyam steps.The show was an exquisite amalgam of various events like Solo song contest-Sur aur Taal , Antakshri –(Jugal Bandi), Theme paly (Darpan), Ad Mad (Hard sell), Face Painting (Picassa), Collage making , Solo dance (Fusion), Mr.and Ms.Kshitij, and the Fashion show. The jury comprised of eminent personalities from all walks of life. To name  a few from the list we had.Maj.Gen.M.P.Singh,Director Of Mathura Road Campus, Prof. De, Dr. Dhar, Wg. Cdr. N. P. Singh, Dr.Cdr. Satish Seth,Dr. P.K.Seth,Prof. V.P.Arora also amongst the jury for some of the events. The colleges which had shown active participation were Asia Pacific Management Institute, NCHM Noida, Bhagat Singh College, Rai Business School, Gittaraltan International, Kirorimal College,IILM,BCHIMT's,NDIM, Manav Rachna and all three campuses of JIMS.        PopStar Nite  2011            ZEST & DANDIYA  2011 It was amidst the sparkling and twinkling lights of Chhoti Diwali that JIMS celebrated its 1st annual cultural bonanza Zest and Dandiya 2011. The excitement of Diwali and the fervor of the college festival combined together to bring forth an exquisite array of some highly captivating events.The students of JIMS Greater Noida, Lajpat Nagar, Kalkaji ,V.K.1 and 2 got together on the 25th of October at Sri Fort auditorium to compete with each other in this truly dazzling contest of talent. The occasion this year witnessed participation from from across 5 campuses of JIMS in 14 on stage and 5 off stage stage events organized by the Jims cultural committee. While the off  stage events were organized 13th of Oct., the onstage events were held on the 25th of Oct’2011. The programme as usual began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr.Prof. Ravi Dhar Director V.K2, Dr.Avtar Singh Sethi. H.O.D (ManagementKalkaji , ,Mr.Manchanda  Head corporate affairs, Prof. Dr.S.C. Sharma . Since no task can be accomplished without invocation to the Almighty, the students of JIMS then paid a befitting tribute to Goddess Saraswati through the very devotional and melodious Saraswati Vandana . followed by the events : solo and group instrumental competition, RJ hunt, group dance, antakshari, Ad Mad Show, JAM  just a minute, theme play and The honorable Chief Guest in the occasion, Mr. Vijender, Member of Parliament, BJP was felicitated by Dr. Amit Gupta, Chairman JIMS. The show ended with students receiving medals and certificates for their performances.A perfect close indeed to all the hard work they had put in to make the show a success. ded a fitting finale to the celebrations. This much awaited event, with combined efforts and enthusiasm of faculty and students has become one of the most memorable events in the recent history of JIMS.               ALUMNI NITE 2011 JIMS organized Abuzz with activity were the spacious lawns of Chelmsford club on the 5th of Nov’2011.Cool winter breeze coupled with soft music playing in the background served as the prefect backdrop for the annual Alumni Meet that saw almost 350 students from various batches and campuses walk into the venue for that eagerly awaited reunion with erstwhile friends. The college, as usual played the perfect host for this warm and happy evening. The Dinner party that began with Mr.Dogra  Registrar V.K1 delivering the welcome address was followed by the existing students moving a step further  unfolding the magic repository of games and activities that they had planned for the Alumni guests and faculty members. Incomplete, indeed is a reunion that does not recognize the achievements of its loyal and steadfast flag bearers and ambassadors . So after those warm hand shakes, welcoming smiles and pleasantries it was time for chairman sir to address the gathering and give away awards to those who had achieved meritorious positions in the corporate world in the shortest span of time.
